Antonia Bird (1951-2013) was a renowned British producer and director. Despite starting his path in the world of theater, she quickly became interested in audiovisuals and the options that the camera offered her. Director of successful soap operas in the UK (‘EAST ENDERS’ and ‘CASUALTY’), she won her first BAFTA with ‘SAFE’ (1993). It was her first film ‘PRIEST’ (1994) that gave her worldwide recognition. In 1999s he released the horror film ‘RAVENOUS’, presented at the 32nd edition of the Sitges Film Festival. She won two more BAFTAs with ‘CARE’ (2000) and ‘OFF BY HEART’ (2009).
